Dusk is a nostalgic homage to a former self and simpler times. While growing up and growing out of my hometown of Fergus Falls, MN. I spent one of my last adolescent summers making new friends and staying out past my curfew, which allowed me to see my hometown in a new “light.” The track aims to capture the sense of adventure and new experiences from that summer.

"You know, it's funny. When you look at someone through rose-colored glasses, all the red flags just look like flags." -Wanda Pierce (Bojack Horseman, S2:E10)

Rose Colored Glasses was written with the intention of sonically documenting the changes in a relationship. Starting with the dream-like feeling found in a new budding romance slowly progressing to when reality sets in and things become more complicated.

Finding inspiration in the flux of his daily social interactions, Lee blends a range of musical influences into his compositions. Consequently, calm moments of introspective piano and washy cymbals can diverge into the eruptive force of distorted guitar and a driving rhythm section.
